The Learner and Learning

Below are evaluations and observations of supervising teachers that have been in my classroom:

  • Clinical Practice Evaluation 1 – In this evaluation, I demonstrate my belief that all students can learn and that I should set and support realistic expectations for student success. These expectations should be communicated in positive ways. Click on the link for more details.

  • Clinical Practice Evaluation 2 – In this evaluation, I created a developmentally appropriate lesson that took into account individual students’ strengths, interests, and needs and enabled each student to advance and accelerate his or her learning.

  • Clinical Practice Evaluation 3 – In this evaluation, I focused on higher order thinking skills in order to push all students to higher levels of learning. In doing so, I also became the facilitator of the lesson, rather than the know-all guru. It becomes important for students to develop their own understandings with guiding questions and deeper connections to the lesson.
